World champion big mountain steep skier Dean Cummings will be at Pajarito Mountain Lodge, October 28 from 4-6pm.  Dean will be sharing his Steep Life Protocols for smart travel in avalanche-prone backcountry terrain. Afterward, Dean will be available for poster signings in an informal meet and greet atmosphere (snacks provided). Learn the methodology and protocols that have been developed by Dean in his 20 years of guiding in Valdez, AK and be inspired by epic first descents.

Dean Cummings grew up and learned to ski on Pajarito Mountain and Santa Fe Ski Area  and went on to become a Team Captain of the US Freestyle Ski Team, World Extreme Skiing Champion, featured in 46 ski films and owner of H2o heli-ski operator and guide in Alaska.  Dean's passion and dedication to the protocols he developed for remote mountain operations allowed for him to develop the American Mechanized Ski Guide Training Program, and "Be Snow Smart" educational program.  for more info read his bio here:

Please join us in welcoming Dean back to Pajarito Mountain and sharing his lessons in mountain safety and his latest film (34 minutes) "The Steep Life".

To cover the costs of this event we will be asking for a $15 cash or check donation for adults only, kids are free.  Any additional funds will be applied to future mountain travel and avalanche safety programs at Pajarito Mountain.
