Mozart on the Rock - Opera at Bandelier

The Los Alamos Opera Guild, Bandelier National Monument, Los Alamos Atomic
City Transit, Los Alamos Commerce Development Corporation, and Don Quixote
Distillery & Winery are co-hosting Mozart on the Rocks - Opera at
Bandelier on September 29, 2012.  This first-ever event is an opportunity
for those not familiar with opera to participate in an introductory
experience, as well as for opera aficionados to enjoy listening in a
special venue.  The performance will be held in the evening, after the
Bandelier Fall Fiesta,  at the Monument's amphitheater.  Please bring your
blankets and come enjoy an evening of fellowship and live music under the
stars.

The event will begin with tailgating at the new White Rock Visitor Complex
at 4PM, where the Atomic City Transit will transport guests at 5PM to
Bandelier with an introduction to the evening's performance provided by
the Los Alamos Opera Guild while in transit.  Upon arrival at the
Bandelier Amphitheater, guests will have the opportunity to participate in
a complimentary wine tasting hosted by the Don Quixote Distillery & Winery
.  At 6:15, the performance begins.  The Three Sopranos singing Mozart;
coordinated by local Opera singer Alicia Soloman with Jess Cullinan and
Heather McCulloch; with selections from the Magic Flute, Marriage of
Figaro, and Cosi fan tutte, accompanied by pianist Brian Huysman.

This is a special event for National Public Lands Day, with all fees being
suspended.  The entire event is free, but donations for musicians will be
welcomed.

stars in your favorite national park - September 29, 2012.  Spread the
