Trampas Lakes, NM Overnight Sept. 22-23

This overnight hike is my favorite hike in New Mexico.  It is close by, just East of Espanola.  The trail head is at 9,000 feet with a wooded trail up to three pretty lakes at 11,400 feet surrounded by towering Truchas peaks.  The trail is six miles in and is never terribly steep despite the significant elevation gain. We will hike in on Saturday, spend one night around the lakes, and come out on Sunday.
