Washington's Birthday is celebrated on Monday, February 16.  By then, the rain will have passed, the skies will be partly sunny and the air will be warm (60F).  My last canyon descent was in November 2025, so I would like to visit Pajarito Canyon.  This canyon has four rappels (45, 55, 120 & 70 feet).  Access is from Kinberley Lane.  Exit is over rocks and dirt and steep with cacti, and nobody likes it.

There has been some interest in canyoneering among recent climbing school graduates.  You need to know how to navigate cliffs and must know how to rappel to join this trip.  The trip is limited to six people.  If you express interest, then Evan will talk with you.

We will meet in White Rock at 9 AM.  Depending on the group size and experience, I anticipate a finish time in the early afternoon.  I will provide the ropes and anchor gear.  A couple of radios and a Garmin InReach.  You will need the usual personal gear - helmet, harness, personal anchor system, rappel device, gloves, grippy shoes, water, lunch, clothing to suit the weather.

Reimbursement:
none
