Let's cross country ski the Neff Mountain/Cumbres Pass route.  This is a 6.5 mile ski on Forest Service Roads with 700 ft of elevation gain and loss.  The uphill is fairly gradual, but the downhill at the end requires some snow plow and/or telemark skills.   This tour requires a car shuttle and the ski will take about 4.5 hours.  The forecast is for a moderately cold day - with starting temperatures in the upper teens and high temperature for the day about 27 degrees.

Fish scale metal edged skis are required for this tour.  It is not suitable for track skis or AT gear.  If we haven't skied together, please let me know what skis you are bringing.  I'll send out an equipment list to participants.

If you are interested in coming, let me know if you can drive and how many people you can take.  If you need a ride, we will try to find space, but this is dependent upon folks being able to offer rides to passengers.

We will meet at 6:45 am on Saturday in Los Alamos (location to be provided to participants) and will return by around 6 pm.

Email jeandewart7@gmail.com if you are interested in coming.   (we can consider dogs coming with discussion)
