Let's snowshoe to Nambe Lake from the Santa Fe ski basin. I did this last week and it was hard work, but not impossible. Be aware there will be a LOT of steep climbing, but it isn't technical. Alternatively, we can go to Puerto Nambe if the group doesn't want the climb to Nambe Lake.
Nambe Lake: 7 miles, 2000 ft elevation gain

Puerto Nambe: 8.5 miles, 1800 ft elevation gainĀ
Text me to coordinate a meeting place and carpool situation. It is an hour drive and I want to get on the trail no later than 8:30 so I expect to leave Los Alamos at 7 am.
Snowshoes are available for rent at the Aquatic Center for $10 for the weekend. They ARE NOT open on Sundays, so you will need to pick them up Saturday. I am not providing snowshoes.
