Mother/daughter paddling trips: 10 years and 125 miles of the Green River

Date:
Tue, 2023-02-28

The February 28 Mountaineers meeting will be in-person, with a hybrid adjunct. Mary Thompson will speak about her adventures with “Mother/daughter paddling trips: 10 years and 125 miles of the Green River”.

Mary writes “The 125 mile section of the Green River between Green River State Park and the confluence with the Colorado River is an accessible and fun paddling (and hiking) trip for beginners as well as seasoned outdoors people.  I will tell you about our latest trip and how we did it so that you can plan your own venture on the Green.

My daughter and I are long-time kayakers, hikers, and trip partners.”

We welcome all to this Mountaineers’ meeting, on the regular fourth Tuesday of the month. The social hour, with cookies, begins at 6:45 PM and the program at 7:00 PM. The presentation will be in-person at Los Alamos Nature Center; the slides will be live-streamed on Zoom. Registration is required to Zoom and recommended for in-person – we would love to see your smiling face. Registration is at https://peecnature.org/events/details/?id=45317.
