Hiking in Northern New Mexico

Date:
Tue, 2022-06-28

The June 28 Mountaineers meeting will be in-person, with a hybrid adjunct. We are thrilled to be back in person for the second time. The presentation will be  “Hiking in Northern New Mexico” by Eric Bjorklund. His talk will feature some of the less known hiking areas, such as Vista Verde, the ruins of the John Dunn hotel along the Rio Grande, eagle traps on Burnt Mesa, the Lower Paliza Goblin Colony, and perhaps explorations southeast of Ghost Ranch, with remarkable rock formations.

We welcome all to this Mountaineers’ meeting, which starts at 7:00 PM. Club meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of every month. This presentation will be in-person at Los Alamos Nature Center; the slides will be live-streamed on Zoom. Registration is required and in-person seating is limited. Registration for both in-person or virtual attendance can be found at https://peecnature.org/events/details/?id=41531.
