Not-so-Dawn Patrol

New backcountry ski gear?  Not sure how to use it?  Let's go and try it out at a convenient local ski area on Wed, Jan 1, at 10am. 

I propose a low-key few hours skin-climbing up the closed east end of the little bird.   I could bring a few interesting tidbits including:

* avalance beacons for some minor practice

* spare splitboard with skins

* discussion on gear

* uphill ettiquet
