Monday Afternoon Ski Hill Hikes

In the past few years, we have developed a tradition of hiking up the ski hill each Monday after work....come rain or shine! We carpool up to the ski hill parking lot to begin our hike. It takes 30 to 45 minutes to reach the top going straight up under the Aspen lift, and the effort is good for body and soul. We usually get back to town sometime between 8:00 to 8:30 PM. The high point of the outing (literally and figuratively) is a potluck dinner/snack, enjoying the views from the top of the hill. Some persons like to leave earlier, and/or take a different route to the top. In cases please let the leader know of our route, plans, and cell number.

Please bring your contribution to the picnic dinner. In addition to warm clothes, a daypack with a headlamp, liquids, and rain jacket is advised. It can be cool at the summit - in the 50's - at the beginning and end of the hiking season. We go most Mondays. Cancellations, special circumstances or schedules, alternate leaders, etc. will be posted on this page. We are moving the meeting point starting August 29, 2017 to the bottom of the ski hill road, at the sign that advertises the ski area cafeteria. We will met there at 5:30 PM.
