For club members certified in WFA or WFR (or those recently timed out) who would like to participate in a 'non-formal' review and refresher, lets spend Saturday September 21st at my house starting at 10:00 AM. We will spend about an hour reviewing systems and fundamentals. After that we will set up a series of scenarios with different sets of participants acting as patients, responders and observers. Following each scenario we will critique the response as a group to identify positive elements and alternatives to the actions taken by the responders. At 4:00 PM we will break and enjoy a BBQ on my deck. Significant others would be welcome to join the BBQ. Bring something to grill and something to share with the team.

Participants should bring their standard field medical kit, snacks and lunch. The host will provide coffee, tea and softies. A portable chair would be useful, as well as cloths that might get a 'bit' dirty.  All activities will take place in the immediate vicinity of my house at 1900 Camino Redondo in Los Alamos. The scenarios will be set up on the County Land and the small side canyon behind my house.

I suggest that we get together on the preceding Wednesday (at the Tub or an alternative location) to help in identifying and defining scenarios. That meeting will help us identify any additional equipment that we might also want to have, but think specifically about those activities that put you into wilderness situations and what you might have with you in those circumstances.

This activity will be limited to ten participates. Please send me a note or give me a call if you are interested in participating.
