More of what you came for - thick ice at an angle that keeps your attention and leaves you wanting more.

Above the most technical pitches are a serious of shorter steps and ramps.

Following one of the easy ramps up high. These are often wet, even in cold temperatures. The approach gully can be seen directly over the climber's helmet; the road is above.

The descent is to the north down a long snow slope and gully. Steep and deep snow is often found here, and avalanche potential must be considered.

The climb seen from the approach road, with the descent track visible on a large arc to the North and back. The climb continues above the obvious ice in the photo through the dark gullies above. The upper sections are quite easy. Traverses off to the north (left) are possible in only a couple of spots, so either plan your early exit carefully, or commit to going over the top.
