One of the sandstone jewels of the Red Rocks area in Nevada (among many), this route has all the attributes of a classic. Every pitch is a delight, the high desert environment is a paradise, and you reach a real summit from which the decidedly otherwordly attractions of the Las Vegas Strip are clearly visible. Like other moderate, accessible classics, though, it suffers from overcrowding. Plan accordingly. |
