Chicoma Mountain (11561') is the
highest peak in the Jemez Mountains, and it is visible from many
spots in and around Los Alamos. After looking at it longingly
almost every day for many many years, we finally climbed and skied
it, taking advantage of some potent mid-April snowstorms. For
