On our hike to Nambe Lake we were blessed with a beautiful sunny day and a lot of snow.  On the Winsor Trail there was a good track, but snowshoes were necessary after the fence marking the boundary of the Pecos Wilderness.  The most challenging part was the trail leaving the Winsor Trail and climbing up to Nambe Lake; the snow was very deep and the trail blazing was a lot of work.  It took us three hours to reach the lake, where we found a nice spot to eat and enjoy the sun.  The descent toward the Winsor trail in deep snow was pure fun!
