This trip is now full.  Let me know if you'd like to be on the waiting list.
Let's backpack/hike San Luis Peak - an isolated Colorado 14ner peak, in the eastern part of the San Juan Mountains.  We'll drive up on Friday morning (5-6 hr drive) and then take the Stewart Creek route - which includes a 4 mile backpack to a timberline camp (~12,000 ft).  We will hike up to the peak on Saturday and return to camp.  Hike out and drive home on Sunday.  Total distance for the trip is 12 miles with an elevation gain of 3600 ft.  There is the possibility of climbing some nearby 13ners as well.  We will limit the trip to ~12 people.  If you'd like to come, send me an email at jdewart@q.com.
