This trip is now full.  Send me an email if you'd like to be on a waiting list.
Let's boat the Rio Grande through White Rock Canyon, from Espanola to Cochiti Lake.
We'll do the trip as an overnight trip - running the car shuttle down to Cochiti Lake on Friday, and putting on the river on Saturday morning.  There is a Class II rapid at Water Canyon and a Class 3- rapid at Ancho Canyon - so previous whitewater experience is required.  (e.g. Monastery run on the Chama)  The trip is suitable for kayaks, canoes, inflatables, and small rafts.
We will camp somewhere above Capulin Canyon Saturday night, so that on Sunday, we can try to land at Capulin Canyon and hike up to the Painted Cave.  We may/may not be able to land there, due to tamerisk - we'll just have to see.
The last part of the trip is flatwater paddling across Cochiti Lake to the boatramp.
The trip will be self support; we can work together to plan to have enough gear carrying capacity for stoves/water/food.
Sign up prior to May 25th, so we can figure out what cars/drivers we will need on Friday to run the shuttle.
