Skiing might be mediocre (at best) elsewhere in the state, but Sipapu has good snow coverage. They bought and paid for it, making snow in large amounts so that they now have 14 runs open. I've skiied there, and so have friends, and we found the conditions surprisingly good. Sipapu ranges from free (with a Pajarito pass) to economical (for anyone). I'd like to gather whoever is interested for a day of skiing at Sipapu this Saturday, carpooling from Los Alamos at 8:00 AM, and returning when our day of skiing is done.
