A great adventure on one of the continent's major peaks. In 1981 when these pictures were taken, aircraft landings were not permitted in Glacier Bay National Park except on the ocean beaches. We started from sea level, completing the round trip in 21 days; a tactic we have repeated for other peaks in the Park because of the beauty and adventure to be experienced in this way. This may be one of the few areas left in the world that can provide such quality climbing experiences in a true wilderness setting.
