Crimson Chrysalis One of the top 25 routes in this collection!

Beta Images Slide Show

One of the sandstone jewels of the Red Rocks area in Nevada (among many), this route has all the attributes of a classic. Every pitch is a delight, the high desert environment is a paradise, and you reach a real summit from which the decidedly otherwordly attractions of the Las Vegas Strip are clearly visible. Like other moderate, accessible classics, though, it suffers from overcrowding. Plan accordingly.
