Sunday, July 24, Las Conchas / Cattle Call Wall, 9:00 am

(Beginner-Intermediate)  Try some "cool" climbing for a change.  To get to the crags from Los Alamos take highway 502 to the "back gate" and turn right (west) onto State Road 4.   Drive through the Valle Grande and continue until you see the Forest Service "Las Conchas" fishing access sign between mile marker 36 & 37.  Continue for another 0.1 miles and park in the first pullout on the right. “Cattle Call Wall” is right in front of you, and  is great for beginners.  Almost any line you see can be toproped.  Bring a rain jacket and a snack.  This area is well worth the drive!  Click here for a guide to the whole area.
